Transcendental meditation (TM) is a specific, evidence-based form of meditation developed by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, practiced for 20 minutes twice daily while sitting comfortably with eyes closed. It is an effortless, enjoyable practice allowing the mind to settle into a state of "restful alertness" to reduce stress, anxiety, and blood pressure.

Effortless Approach: Unlike mindfulness or concentration techniques, TM requires no focus or control of the mind and is easily incorporated into your daily life.
Methodology: It is taught in a one-on-one, structured, multi-day course by certified teachers.
The technique originates from the ancient Vedic tradition.
